Micro Landscape of a Bathroom Sink I likely want to read too much in the title of the first track, but it captures my ambiguous relation towards house music so well. In its simplicity house music can be quite daft to the point of becoming the go to music for imbeciles. Yet, at the same time, in the right hands, it can also be a source of so much delight. Favorite track: Bored Of House.

about

Originally released in 2004, remastered and re-released on Cambria Instruments in 2019.

This five-tracker of mostly bangers stands up surprisingly well for its age. 'Bored of House' sounds steely and futuristic, while the visceral chaos of 'Overdraft' sounds like the genesis of Nathan's live performance style which would emerge in the coming years. This re-releases striking artwork is by Austin, Texas based artist Matt Mills.
